Although veganism may not be for everyone there are certainly many benefits everyone can get by eating a mostly whole food plant based diet.
These foods feed your body and your mind. They keep you satiated, they’re high in fiber and nutritionally density. We all know eating nutritionally dense foods like dark leafy greens, berries, bell peppers and sweet potatoes are good for you and we need to eat a lot more of them.
For many people it may seem daunting to go from eating cheese burgers and French fries, or steak and eggs to quinoa burgers and oven roasted sweet potato “fries”.
Changing your habits especially around food can be extremely difficult. Most people – myself included – need transitional food or lifestyle change to shake things up.
A meal replacement program worked best for me. I’m the kind of person that if you give me an inch I’ll take a mile. If I get a little bit of something not so good for me, whatever commitment I had to change my eating habit goes out the window.
